Social media timelines flooded almost as quickly as the city’s roads, with memes poking fun at submerged cars, traffic jams and the struggle of navigating knee-deep water on the streets.

For many, satire became a survival tool, a way to process yet another monsoon with urban flooding and disruptions to daily life.
But behind the jokes lies frustration with the city authorities. The recurring collapse of drainage systems and prolonged power outages have left citizens questioning why the metropolis remains unprepared for seasonal rains.
