Britney Spears has addressed her recent airplane debacle, downplaying the situation and calling it "incredibly funny."
The pop icon took to Instagram, to share her side of the story after reports emerged that she had been confronted by flight attendants and police for disruptive behavior during a flight from Cabo San Lucas to Los Angeles.
According to Spears, the ordeal began when she mistakenly believed she could smoke on the JSX private jet. “My friend put it in my mouth and lit it up for me, so I was like, OH SO THIS IS A PLANE WHERE YOU CAN SMOKE!!!” she wrote, explaining that the drink holders on the outside of the seat gave her the wrong impression. While the airline did intervene and ask her to put out the cigarette, Spears seems to have found humor in the whole episode.
The 43-year-old singer also revealed that she tried vodka for the first time during the flight, which she says made her feel “so clear and smart.” Despite the lighter tone of her post, she apologized for any offense caused but also shared her frustration with the flight attendants, accusing them of embarrassing her and not treating her well from the moment she boarded.
Spears explained, “Nobody was on the plane for the first 20 minutes, and she wouldn’t let me get out of my seat. She acted so weird about making sure I sat down, and it was weird!!!” She also expressed dissatisfaction with how the flight crew handled her space during the flight, claiming the flight attendant invaded her personal space by putting on her seatbelt.

While the incident has raised concerns about her well-being, especially after her conservatorship ended in 2021, Spears continues to laugh off the situation. However, sources close to her have voiced ongoing worries about her mental health, with some questioning the level of support she is receiving post-conservatorship.
