Taylor Swift has officially been removed from the ongoing legal dispute between actors Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
Baldoni, star and director of It Ends With Us, has withdrawn a subpoena previously served to Swift, effectively ending her direct involvement in the case.
The subpoena had sought information about Swift’s knowledge of alleged misconduct between her friend Blake Lively and Baldoni during the production of the film. However, according to sources, relevant details were already provided, prompting Baldoni’s team to withdraw the request.
A spokesperson for Lively welcomed the move, describing the subpoena as “harassing” and praising Swift’s legal team’s efforts to quash it. The spokesperson also criticized Baldoni’s team for attempting to use Swift’s celebrity status to sway public opinion, pointing to internal documents suggesting plans to manipulate media narratives using Swift’s name.
The feud between Lively and Baldoni stems from Lively’s December 2024 complaint to California’s Civil Rights Department, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation. The legal battle has since escalated, with countersuits, PR disputes, and multiple parties involved.
While Swift’s subpoena has been withdrawn, her name may continue to surface as the case moves toward a federal court date in March 2026. As tensions rise and public interest grows, the legal dispute shows no signs of slowing.
