‘Dad’s Lunch Box’ screened during Japan Film Festival

KARACHI:

A two-day Japan Film Festival, opened at the Arts Council of Pakistan (APC) in collaboration with the Consulate General of Japan in Karachi, screened Japanese film: “Dad's Lunch Box” on the first day. The film received high praise from the audience.

The festival also received accolades for the participation of renowned writer Anwar Maqsood. Japanese Consul General Odagiri Toshio, Turkish Consul General Cemal Sangu among other political, social and literary figures attended the opening ceremony.

While speaking on the occasion, Toshio said, “I am very thankful to Anwar Maqsood and the ACP president for hosting the Japan festival. Many Pakistanis are eager to watch Japanese movies, and such festivals provide an ideal opportunity for both countries to immerse themselves in each other's culture and language.”

Anwar Maqsood shared his thoughts, saying, “I'm a huge fan of Japanese directors, and I have an extensive collection of Japanese films most of which have won Oscar awards.”
