Indonesian CG launches housing pilot project for Sindh's flood victims

Indonesian humanitarian NGO says flexible development design will allow project to continue meeting needs in future

Indonesian Consul General Dr June Kuncoro Hadiningrat on Saturday visited Thatta in interior Sindh to officially launch the pilot project of Indonesian housing dedicated to flood victims of the province.

The housing project was initiated by Dompet Dhuafa, an Indonesian humanitarian NGO, that works in collaboration with the Pakistani NGO, We CARE.

According to Herdiansyah, the field manager of Dompet Dhuafa, the house is designed based on the "growing house concept". He maintained that the housing has been developed flexibly in order to meet further needs in the future.

Representatives from the Indonesian National Disaster Countermeasure Agency also attended the launching of the pilot project.

Counsel General Hadiningrat encouraged the Indonesian community to give more assistance to Pakistan, as a brotherly Muslim country.

Terimah kashy Aapa khabra khabar Bhai Thanks a million for the generous assistance of Indonesia to help rebuilt communities. Politicians businessmen and NGOs should follow Indonesian s goodwill for the communities in need.
