Saturday Night Live brought back its popular “Domingo” sketch, featuring a comedic musical performance at a baby shower with Charli XCX joining the cast. The segment originally gained traction in October when Ariana Grande hosted and participated in a similar musical skit during Kelsey’s wedding.

In the earlier version, Grande and cast members Heidi Gardner, Ego Nwodim, and Sarah Sherman performed a parody of Sabrina Carpenter's "Espresso," narrating the story of a mysterious man named Domingo (Marcello Hernandez) from the bachelorette party, much to the groom's displeasure.

This weekend, Charli XCX stepped into Grande’s role, joined by Gardner, Nwodim, and Sherman, with Chloe Fineman playing Kelsey. The quartet performed a reimagined version of Chappell Roan's "HOT TO GO!" to comedic effect, recounting Domingo’s escapades. The catchy “D-O-M-I-N-G-O!” chorus replaced the original lyrics, earning laughs from the live audience.

The return of the Domingo-themed musical sketch marks another creative success for SNL. Critics and fans noted its clever integration of humor and music, with Caroline Darney of USA Today highlighting the performance’s ability to rival its predecessor. Darney noted, “We just got ‘direct from Domingo’ out of our heads. I guess ‘D-O-M-I-N-G-O!’ will happily take its place.”

The latest installment continues SNL’s tradition of delivering memorable and shareable musical sketches, reinforcing its cultural relevance. Fans of the show and newcomers alike can anticipate more creative parodies in future episodes.
