Asmongold to address ‘biased moderation’ on Twitch, considers moving to Kick or Rumble if banned

Streamer Asmongold plans to expose Twitch moderation, citing bias, and considers alternatives like Kick or Rumble.

Popular streamer Asmongold has announced plans to collaborate with Dan Saltman to critique Twitch’s moderation policies, which he describes as “extremely biased.” In his latest broadcast, Asmongold criticized the platform’s inconsistent enforcement of rules, claiming, “One person can do something and nothing happens. Somebody else says something, and they are permanently banned.”

Asmongold’s comments follow the recent suspension and reinstatement of streamer Central_Committee, who was banned for threatening another streamer, Destiny, during a broadcast. Central_Committee was unbanned after three days, a move Asmongold cited as evidence of favoritism on Twitch. Speaking to his audience, he vowed to hold Twitch accountable, stating, “I think also the moderation is extremely biased. It’s obvious that it’s biased.”

In the event of a ban for his planned stream, Asmongold expressed readiness to migrate to alternative platforms like Kick or Rumble, saying, “If I get banned on Twitch… I can just go somewhere else and stream over there.” He also criticized Twitch for generating “negative publicity” and predicted that the platform’s reputation would further decline.

Dan Saltman, co-host of Destiny’s podcast Anything Else, will join Asmongold in the stream. Saltman previously supported claims of rising anti-Semitism on Twitch, highlighted in a letter from U.S. Congressman Ritchie Torres to Twitch CEO Dan Clancy.

Asmongold confirmed the stream would proceed this week, saying, “If [Central_Committee] got banned for less than two weeks… it sure sounds like it’s f**king on.” The streamer’s actions underscore ongoing debates about transparency and fairness in Twitch’s moderation policies.
