A Filipino woman was found dead in a residential apartment near a local eatery in Upper Gizri, Clifton on Tuesday night. The deceased, identified as Shehla, 35, was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.
The police registered the case under the Section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code, pertaining to murder, on behalf of an employee of Philippine Consulate Karachi.
According to the police, Shehla’s neck bone was found fractured during the autopsy.

Clifton SHO Pir Shabbir said that Shehla had moved to Karachi from her hometown in Philippines and had been living alone in the flat since then. He told that a relative of the deceased woman, who lives in the apartment on the lower floor of the same building, found Shehla lying on the floor.
The police included the person in the investigations who informed the police about finding Shehla dead.
The body was later handed over to the consulate after completion of medico-legal formalities.
