Woman found dead in Rawalpindi

The 40-year-old was mentally-challenged and had gone missing around 18 days ago

The body of a 40-year-old woman was found near Wilayat Chowk on Monday. According to Gujjar Khan police, she was identified as Tahira Qadeer and she was mentally-challenged. She had gone missing around 18 days ago.

Rescue 1122 shifted the deceased’s body to tehsil headquarters (THQ) hospital under the supervision of the police. The police officials said that the death cause would be identified only after the autopsy report.

Rescue 1122 spokesperson said that they recovered the woman’s decomposed body. Owing to decomposition, the rescue officials said that the identification of the deceased was not possible.

The police mobilised the locals and traced Tahira’s family who said that she suffering from a cognition disorder.
