Actor Sajal Aly, currently starring in the web series Dhoop ki Deewar, is no stranger to compliments. However, now the actor can add the name of Bollywood legend Shabana Azmi to her list of fans as well!
Azmi took to Instagram to comment on the Alif actor’s picture and the Indian star was all praise for Aly. On a picture of Aly on Instagram, in which the actor can be seen donning a red kurta and kohl-rimmed eyes, Azmi commented saying, “Hai main mar javaan!!!” Underneath another picture in which the actor can be seen with long flowy hair and a traditional lilac outfit, Azmi commented saying, “Haseena”.
Aly will be seen starring in Jemima Goldsmith’s What’s Love Got To Do With It? alongside Azmi. The A-list cast also includes Lily James, Shahzad Latif and Emma Thompson. The film will be helmed by Indian filmmaker Shekhar Kapoor. Goldsmith took to Twitter to share pictures with Aly and Azmi, writing, “I get to work with these South Asian screen legends Shabana Azmi and Sajal Aly.”

Last year, it was announced that the journalist would be writing and producing her first film, romantic-comedy What's Love Got To Do With It? under the banner of her company Instinct Production. What's Love Got To Do With It? is a cross-cultural rom-com about love and marriage, set between London and South Asia. According to the Daily Mail, Goldsmith was inspired by her marriage to the premier and the film seems to be her take on it.
