A seven-year-old boy and a 27-year-old differently-abled girl were molested in the district on Saturday.
According to a police report, the minor boy playing outside his house near Jhumra Road village 18JB was allegedly sexually abused by an 18-year-old boy identified as Liaqat Ali. Police raided various places to arrest the supect and registered a case.
Separately, a man who molested a mentally challenged girl was caught by the police. A widow, Rashida Sajid, a resident of Garden Mohalla, lodged the report at Millat Town Police Station. She stated that she had gone to Toba Tek Singh to attend the funeral of a relative.
Meanwhile, her differently-abled 27-year-old daughter was present at her house when the suspect Farhan Ali entered it and tried to assault her.

The suspect tried to escape when the citizens passing by the house gathered at the spot. The people came to the spot after they heard the girl screaming. Millat Town police have arrested Farhan Ali and registered a case against him against him under the section 377 PPC. Incidents of sexual violence against children have been reported frequently across the province.
Last week, a six-year-old boy was injured allegedly after the assailants’ attempt to rape him failed. Four people, including a police constable, injured the six-year-old boy during an alleged molestation attempt.
The boy was shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors said his condition was critical. A case was registered under sections 341, 506, 377B and 34 PPC and the police started searching for the suspects.
Police said the six-year-old was stopped on the way by a police constable deployed in Muridwala and his accomplices Kashif Shaukat and Amjad who tried to rape him. After their failed, they injured the victim.
On January 18, a minor girl was sexually assaulted in Dijkot. The 10-year-old girl was abducted and raped by a motorcyclist in the Razaabad area. He later threw the girl unconscious near Lasani Bridge.
The minor girl had left her home in the afternoon to buy vegetables. The motorcyclist lured her out of the way, abducted her and took her to an unknown location where he sexually assaulted her.
He later threw the girl unconscious near Lasani Bridge in Sargodha Road area and fled. Passers-by spotted the unconscious and injured girl and reported the incident to Rescue 15 whose staff shifted her to Allied Hospital Faisalabad.
