Sindh Energy Minister Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh has directed energy department officials and electric inspectors to coordinate with K-Electric (KE), Hyderabad Electricity Supply Company (HESCO) and Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) officials to put in place safety measures for citizens and ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during rains. Meanwhile, a rain emergency centre was also set up at the energy department ahead of the latest monsoon spell. A department spokesperson said they would ensure that KE, HESCO and SEPCO staff worked with the authorities to closely monitor steps taken to address public grievances and keep the minister updated about the situation.
