Corporate corner: PSO donates Rs8.5m for cancer hospital

This particular donation has been made for the purchase of laboratory equipment for the hospital

As part of its CSR initiative, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has donated Rs8.5 million to The Cancer Foundation, which is building a not-for-profit cancer hospital in Karachi, a press release said. PSO is the country’s largest oil marketing company and has a significant CSR programme.


This particular donation has been made for the purchase of laboratory equipment for the hospital, which is due to start operations in 2016, near Aziz Bhatti Park in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi. “This donation represents PSO’s commitment to social causes such as ours,” said Maqsood Ansari, Chairman of The Cancer Foundation, in a statement.
