ABBOTTABAD:

Four modern water filtration plants have been installed at Ayub Teaching Hospital to provide better facilities to patients and attendants, while four tuck shops have also been established in different parts of the hospital where essential items will be available at reasonable prices.

The new filtration plants will provide safe and quality water to patients, their families and staff residing in hostels.

According to Chairman Board of Governors Dr Abid Jamil, the provision of clean drinking water in the hospital was a long-standing problem and the filtration plants have been installed resolve it. He said that clean water is a basic human need and its availability should be the top priority in an important institution like the hospital. He added that with the establishment of tuck shops, patients and attendants will not need to go out of the hospital for essential items, which will save their time and energy.
