Fatalities: Couple, grandson axed to death

HYDERABAD: An elderly couple and their grandson were axed to death in a village in Nangarparkar tehsil, Tharparkar district. The three members of the Kolhi family — Naito, 70, Pano, 65, and Parso, 14 — were at a cattle farm two kilometres away from their village, Wadhari, when they were attacked by unidentified men. SHO Dur Muhammad Khoso said that the police had traced the footsteps of one of the culprits to Wadhari and another to the adjacent Veerawah village. Rai Singh, the son of the deceased couple, told The Express Tribune that his father had around Rs150,000 cash while his mother was wearing bangles worth over Rs100,000. He claimed that the attackers stole the cash and jewellery.
