ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications has sent Prevention of Electronic Crimes Bill-2015 to concerned National Assembly Standing Committee.

The Special Review Committee, after weeks of extensive and ceaseless deliberations, has finally sent the Bill to Standing Committee on IT. As per details, the Special Review Committee was constituted on the direction of Standing Committee on IT.

The committee was mandated to review the proposed prevention of electronic crimes Bill-2015.

In her comments on the Bill, Minister for IT and Telecom Anusha Rahman  said that the committee has minutely and thoroughly analysed this Bill, clause by clause, to make it more compatible with the National Action Plan and to cater to the growing needs of cyber-related challenges.

“It was a gigantic task and we had lengthy discussions and multiple review meetings,” said Rahman.
