HYDERABAD: The suspected murderer of a man found dead in a hotel near Hyderabad railway station on March 28 was arrested on Friday. The suspect, Kashif Shaikh, told the police that the slain Khalid Hussain Khan, 45, was his business partner in a company that was sealed after charges of fraud. He claimed that Khan helped the Lahore police shut down the company and the subsequent arrests of two other partners from Sialkot and Lahore. The FIR for the murder was registered at Fort police station against unidentified assailants. Hyderabad SSP Irfan Baloch said the police had been clueless when they began the investigation because the deceased, a resident of Lahore, was found in a hotel room. However, they managed to trace the suspect, also from Lahore, and arrest him from the railway station before he could board a train.
