Electioneering: JI to hold public gathering on April 12

KARACHI: The Jamaati-i-Islami (JI) will hold a public gathering in Karachi on April 12, as part of its campaign for the by-elections in the NA-246 constituency. This was announced by the party’s general secretary, Liaquat Baloch, at a press conference at the party’s headquarters, Idara-e-Noor Haq, on Wednesday. The JI chief, Sirajul Haq will address the rally, he said. “Conducting transparent elections in the constituency will be a big challenge for the election commission, the government and the establishment,” he said. The JI has nominated its second-in-command for Karachi, Rashid Nasim, to contest elections in the constituency.
