Tyre burst: Accident kills 3, injures 10

HYDERABAD: A road accident involving a passenger van left two women and a man dead, and injured 10 passengers on Monday. The accident occurred on Indus Highway near Sann rural town in Jamshoro district. Police said that the van overturned when one of its tyres burst as the bus was en route to Karachi. The deceased have been identified as 60-year-old Parveen Rajput, 35-year-old Farheen Lodhi and a young man Salman Mushtaq. The families of the deceased and injured reacted angrily to the absence of any medical facilities on the 150-kilometre road between Sehwan and Jamshoro towns. The injured had to be shifted to Liaquat University Hospital, Jamshoro, and Civil Hospital, Hyderabad.
