Lost Boy Productions under the helm of Vikas Gupta is reportedly attempting to create an Indian version of the critically and commercially acclaimed American fantasy drama television series, Game of Thrones to be aired on Sony TV.

Titled Rani Mahal, the Indian GoT is expected to be the most expensive Indian show to date. The original series is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, a series of fantasy novels by George R R Martin, the first of which is titled A Game of Thrones.

Premiering in 2011, Game of Thrones successfully completed its fourth season in 2014, with the fifth due to air in April this year.
