The strong reaction from the Foreign Office came after the Indian external affairs ministry accused Pakistan for facilitating the rally addressed by Jamaatud Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed in Lahore last week.
“This was an event at a national monument in Pakistan, with police deployed for security and advertised all across Pakistan. Extending these facilities to a designated terror entity including providing train services, is nothing short of mainstreaming terrorism,” reads the Indian external affairs ministry statement.
However, Pakistan reacted sharply to the remarks and termed allegations as baseless.
“Pakistan has been in the forefront of combating terrorism and is also its biggest victim. On the contrary, if any evidence of mainstreaming of terrorism in India was needed, one only had to look at the perpetrators of Samjohta Express terrorist attack and its masterminds,” said the foreign office spokesperson.
The spokesperson also pointed out that Pakistan takes its obligations under the UN Security Council mandate very seriously, unlike India as manifested by its failure to implement the UN Security Council resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir.
“We also reject the equally baseless allegations and efforts to malign Pakistan by implicating it in the recent attacks in Indian Occupied Kashmir. The recent verdict of court martial on fake encounter of 2010 exposes the hollowness of the Indian infiltration claims,” the spokesperson maintained.
The FO also termed the state elections in Indian Kashmir as a sham and an exercise in futility.

@Aschraful Makhlooq: That is because Pakistan has to beg for money from western nations to fund its arms purchases and India has no such compulsion.
There is no doubt that that Pakistan has acquired the services of some really incompetent strategists. Trying to make the world define terrorists as freedom fighters is something that was acceptable in the pre 9/11 era. Not anymore. Unfortunately for Pakistan, it hasn't changed along with the rest of the world and is still trying to do same, ending up destroying their own credibility instead. Pakistan needs to pursue a different line of thought for Kashmir.
The biggest threat Pakistan faces today is from itself. Be it the non state actors, or be it from the state actors, as pictured above.
@Sunil:
All this coming from a 10 year old, anti social, gamer personality acting tough on internet. Do us a favor and head to the border for the "upcoming" war.
In South East Asia India is the only country which is spending billions of Rupees on purchasing the weapons,on the borders' issues and facing conflicts on the borders this is why India is always in the war's conditions with its neighbors instead of taking peace's initiatives and this is why India accuses its neighbors most especially Pakistan and China of unrest and clashes whereas India's neighbors' expenditures on the borders' issues and on purchasing weapons are very less than India....
@chandran:
Breaking news...
Feeling is mutual
every time a some thugs cross border in J&K and attack camps. They leave behind some memoirs/souvenirs, Tasty dry fruits packets to last 72 hrs, chicken achari packets, developed by military establishment, rawalpindi, maps, Some chinese walky talky,, snow boots, heavy jackets. Radio intercepts with one major gulfam., or use an alias chacha. Nawaz is busy touring London,Kathmandu, while other sharif is busy in washington,
We as Indian respect your word madam but we don't accept it because we have different opinion on the Kashmir issue
@Sunil: What rubbish you write - war nuclear at that, have you no sense of decency??
@Animal Farm:
What you have written is called a logical argument.
180 million Pakistanis and most of the 1.2 billion Muslims don't understand how to construct a logical argument.
So, you're wasting your time.
All that the Indian external affairs ministry achieves by making such comments, is lowering itself to Pakistan F.O. level.
J&K elections are sham ... ?? For information, United Nations Development Program (UNDP) is using fairness of elections in Indian States (especially in J&K) as model for world to follow. . UNDP and Election Commission of India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for promotion of knowledge and experience in the field of election management on this basis world around. The observers of over 20 nations of UN are watching and learning from J&K experience as to how free and fair elections are being conducted. Read details at:

The election in India is sham & Election in Pakistan is globally recognized.
Even the Paksitanis wont believe in such white lies:)
FYI,the evidence attack on Samjhouta Express was discovered by India and the culprit was apprehended by India, was punished by India and is now languishing in Indian Jail...
Not even the most fanatical Hindu organization came to support Col.Purohit because of him being a Hindu and the attack was aimed at a muslim country
Now Pakistan FO,tell us where we are the in 26/11 investigations????
We all know the truth and war is the answer to resolve things once and for all. Even if nuclear weapons are used, it does not matter.
Only if FO would issue more of such statements, I would actually have respect for them.
Two options, either give them a response in similar tone or ignore them completely as if they hold no importance at all and not worth the time to be commented on.
