One policeman has been killed while 3 others have been injured after4 gunmen opened fire at a check post in Lahore on Monday.
Police sources said that the gunmen approached the check post on 2 motorcycles in Karim Block in Allama Iqbal Town. All 4 gunmen managed to escape the scene after the attack.
The injured policemen are currently being treated at Jinnah Hospital.
Police have released rough sketches of the attackers and have launched a search operation to arrest them.
Speaking to the media, SSP Operations Shafique Gujjar said that the attackers were carrying automatic weapons.
