ABBOTABAD: The inauguration ceremony of Police Assistance Line (PAL) centre was held at the office of Rescue 15 in Abbottabad on Thursday.  District Police Officer Muhammad Ali Gandapur said such centres would be launched in each of K-P’s districts with the aim to provide maximum facilities to citizens. The centre would function from 8am to 12am every day and allow the public easy access to the police. Gandapur said that in the past, a character certificate would take a week’s time, but the new centre would allow applicants to get their hands on the documentation within 24 hours for a Rs10 fee. Printed formats for the character certificate were issued to all police stations in the district. The PAL Centre will also provide information on vehicle registration, driving licences and emergency situations during the two shifts.
