58th CIIT Convocation: At new beginnings, Wah, Attock campus graduates rejoice

ISLAMABAD:


As many as 176 students were awarded degrees at the 58th convocation of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) on Saturday.


The convocation was held at the Pak-China Friendship Centre, with students from CIIT’s Wah and Attock campuses awarded degrees in their respective fields.

The students were awarded degrees in fields including management sciences, computer sciences, mathematics and electrical engineering. Seven graduates were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals for their excellent academic performance.

The chief guest, Higher Education Commission (HEC) Executive Director Dr Mukhtar Ahmed, urged them to play an active role in building Pakistan’s future. He said that the HEC is committed to supporting students and is offering numerous scholarships in order to facilitate them.

CIIT Rector Dr SM Junaid Zaidi stressed the need for the students to work hard and contribute in the development of the country.
