Wooing investors: Convention to attract foreign diplomats

LCCI Vice-President Mian Tariq Misbah said that the body has decided to hold a convention.

LAHORE: Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Vice-President Mian Tariq Misbah said that the body has decided to hold a convention through which the economic strength of Pakistan will be shared with foreign diplomats. Misbah said that, unlike previous practices, this year all foreign commercial officials working in Pakistan will be invited to Lahore for an interactive session with the business community, adding that a detailed plan was being prepared to provide an investment guideline for the participating diplomats. He said that the committee has decided to have a maximum interaction with those who play an expedite role. Committee chairman Haroon Arrora said that the proposed diplomatic convention would bring several unique features including, an exhibition of Punjab products, and a visit to all industrial areas in the province and a conference on the economy of the province.
