The Sindh government had previously held off from awarding ministries beyond a handfull, hoping to use the cabinet seats as a bargaining chip to woo the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to come over to the treasury benches as coalition partners.
However, when the MQM was not swayed, the PPP, which has simple majority in the assembly, has decided to go ahead with appointing its own members to cabinet positions.
Sources told Express News that among the possible ministers are former minister for Excise and Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Gyan Chand, Murad Ali Shah, Dost Muhammad Rahimoon, Rubina Qaimkhani, Jam Khan, Ali Mardan Shah and Jam Mehtab Dahar.
These expected ministers may take their oath as soon as Wednesday evening.

@aysha You can bully some of the people all the time and most of the people some of the time but you can’t bully all the people all the time !!” Soon InshaAllah everyone in Karachi will be relieved of this pain. You are in denial.
@Ayesha M- So true..completely agree with you here! Everyone can see the evidence on a daily basis by Na Maloom Afraad!
@Blunt: Local government as presented in PPP manifesto, not given by any of the dictators. And yes, CMship and PMship given to a political party which can deliver, evidence of which is provided by the city mayor Mustafa Kamal
@Shahid- hahahaha youre too funny bro!
Cheers
I Dont want to believe it is a matter of local governments system or the choice of ministries, I think there should be more substantial than that behind non joining the government and that should be issues bigger than the above.
The sooner this is done and completed, the better for all of Pakistan, especially Sindh. As things now stand, the MQM and PPP combine is a part of history. Salams
@Aysha M: Local governmenr framework presented by one army dictator is as bad as the one presented by second one. @Shahid: How about CMship? Shouldn't it be offered to MQM as well, may be even PMship too.
PPP cannot justify their stance on local government. They seem to be more convinced by the framework presented by ZiaUlHaq than Bhutto's
Dear PPP,your partners in you know what, are in a catch 22 situation at the moment,so you guys go ahead and serve the people just like PPP and MQM did for last 5 years.Cheers!
what about offering the home, education, transport and health ministry ministry to MQM. THey will come back. Be generous to them and treat them as being Native Sindhis and of your own.Problems will be solved
