KARACHI:

Attock refineries and Pakistan State Oil announced on Thursday the successful bid for a ‘Fuel Farm and Operation and Maintenance of Hydrant Refuelling System’ at the Benazir International Airport. The bid has been deemed successful by the Civil Aviation Authority which was overseeing the process.

Initially Attock Petroleum had tendered the bid by itself. After almost a year of delays the final bid was submitted in collaboration with Pakistan State Oil. Details of the set up between the two companies on how the Fuel Farm will be managed have not been given.

Benazir International Airport is the only commercial airport in the capital city of Islamabad, as a result of which it is an important transport hub for the country handling most of the diplomatic traffic. The tender can prove to be a lucrative deal for the acquiring companies.
