An official of BISP said the scheme was launched with effect from January 1, 2011 under which the dependents receive an amount of Rs100,000 within 30-60 days in case of death of the bread earner of a beneficiary family.

Besides, an amount of Rs25,000 for health insurance is provided to the poorest for first time in the country.
