KHANEWAL:

Solar lamps were given to 244 female and 35 male students of various district colleges on Wednesday.

The distribution ceremony was held at the Government College for Women and was presided over by MPA Nishat Ahmed Khan.

Addressing the event, Khan said that a nation’s development was linked with education. The Punjab government, she said, was using all its resources to educate youth, who would bring a revolution.

Deputy Director (Colleges) Muhammad Jahangir said that 664 solar lamps had previously been distributed among second year students at various district colleges.

Teachers Abida Fatima, Mazhar Hussain and Ahsanur Rehman also spoke at the event.

They appreciated the Punjab government’s laptops and solar lamps schemes and said that no other political party had encouraged the youth the way PML-N had.
