Armed men rob trader in Rawalpindi

The wave of robbery and snatching incidents in Rawalpindi continues unabated as armed motorcyclists robbed a commission agent dealing in poultry, snatching Rs0.1 million in cash and two mobile phones.
CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced.
According to the police, the footage shows the suspects stopping traders in a highly dangerous manner. It can be seen that the traders were riding a motorcycle along a road when suspects on another motorcycle intercepted them.
Sensing the situation, the victim attempted to speed away, while his companion dismounted and ran in the opposite direction to distract the robbers. The companion managed to escape, but the suspects chased the trader who fled on foot and stopped him near a shop.
The footage shows the suspects snatching cash and mobile phones from the victim before escaping.
Bani police registered a case on the complaint of the affected trader, Mohammad Farman. He stated that he, along with his companion Faiz Akbar, was travelling on a motorcycle from Pirwadhai Road to Chungi No. 4 when armed motorcyclists stopped them near a graveyard.
His companion managed to escape, but the suspects robbed him of Rs0.1 million and two mobile phones.
