Cases cleared: Ajmal Pahari goes to court against ‘illegal’ detention

Muhammad Ajmal Siddiqui, better known by his alias Ajmal Pahari, the alleged killer of 100 people, has gone to the Sindh High Court against his “illegal” detention in jail.


The suspect, arrested on March 18, 2011, is being detained at Central Prison Karachi since September 2012. Ajmal was booked in 15 different cases, including murder and kidnappings, which are all fake, the petitioner’s lawyers, Muhammad Ilyas Khan and Muhammad Farooq, contended before Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, who headed the bench on Friday. The bench directed the respondents to file their replies.
