Crime scene: 3 killed, 4 injured over trespass, arguments

14 men arrested for shooting on police station premises.

Three people were killed and four injured in four incidents on Monday.


In Multan, the body of a fruit seller was found in his shop. He had several stab wounds.

Vendors in the market said Nasir, 24, had stayed in his shop in the Delhi Gate area for the night. During this time, they said, he had an argument with two unidentified men. While the men left at that time, they speculated, that these men had returned later and killed him.

The body was discovered in the morning. The police were informed and it was sent for a post-mortem examination.

Two men were killed by robbers in Bahawalnagar. Police said some armed men entered a house in Chak 74/4R. When its owner Hidayatullah, father of six, resisted, they shot him and fled.

He died on the spot.



In Qamarpura Colony, one Nadeem Iqbal was killed by robbers who broke into his shop. Iqbal’s nephew Abid Nisar was injured and taken to a hospital, where he was reported to be out of danger.

In Gujranwala, three people were injured on Monday in a shootout between two groups at a police station. Fourteen men were arrested over the shooting.

The incident occurred at the Saddar police station where the police had summoned two rival groups for investigation related to the murder of former Talwandi Moosa Khan nazim Irfan Muzaffar Cheema alias Mithu Cheema.

An argument started between the two groups and they started shooting at each other.

Three men, including two brothers of the deceased nazim, were injured. They were taken to Civil Hospital, where one of them was reported to be in a critical condition. They were indentified as Saani, Ali Ahmed and Imran.

According to the police, the firing took place when the men were leaving after the questioning.
