KARACHI: A man identified as 38-year-old Shahmir was shot dead, while two others Ahmed Ali and Ali were injured in firing near Mawach Goth on Monday, said the Saeedabad police.

The body and the injured men were taken to Civil hospital. The police said that unidentified men walked into Shahmir’s house and opened fire at him. Mawach Goth was once dominated by the Razzak Commando group which was associated with Arshad Pappu’s gang. According to the SHO, the initial investigation showed that Shahmir, Ahmed and Ali used to support Arshad Pappu. He added that they were also trying to investigate from other angles, including property disputes.
