The forest department of Faisalabad Division will step up efforts to collect more revenue this year as directives have been issued in this regard to generate an additional Rs20 million compared to the earlier target. Punjab’s forest secretary has asked the department to deposit revenues of Rs120 million instead of Rs100 million by the end of fiscal year on June 30. He suggested that this revenue would be collected from the sale of trees grown alongside canals, roads and other places.
