Sharif was speaking to the media outside the Aga Khan Hospital where he had gone to inquire about Pakistan Muslim League – Functional (PML-F) chief Pir Pagara's health.
However, he couldn't meet Pir Pagara as he was in the ICU ward due to his critical condition and the doctors had barred people from meeting him.
Sharif said that he had come to Sindh to hear the problems of the people and to help them find solutions. “We talked to the people in Larkana as well, and we will keep talking to them,” Sharif said.
The PML-N chief also said that he prayed for President Asif Ali Zardari’s health.
Later during the day, Sharif asked the business community to draft a bill on the ongoing energy crisis in the province and vowed to present it in the parliament.
Sharif is on a three-day visit to Karachi to meet various political leaders and the business community. He is scheduled to meet Punjabi Pakhtun Ittehad (PPI) leader Irfanullah Marwat who will announce joining the PML-N. Marwat had finalised his decision during his meeting with Sharif on Monday.
Sharif will also be meeting journalists, lawyers and members of civil society.
Sharif has visited Sindh several times this year. He has addressed rallies in flood-hit areas and strongly criticised the Pakistan Peoples Party government’s response to the disaster. Nawaz also spoke at a rally in Larkana earlier this month.
His younger brother, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, also visited Karachi in August and met businessmen and NGOs in the city. At a press conference in the city, Sharif acknowledged that the party had not been able to organise itself in Sindh but was attempting to fix that.

The PMLN Punjab government is giving out 10 lac laptops to the students worth Rs. 50-60 billion. Who is paying for this money.. We the taxpayers !! And what a policy to give education to youth !! With such stupid policies how can they manage a population of 19 crore people !! I think we need a change.. and if i ever go to cast my vote, i will have to vote PTI ..Sorry no better option !!
He is against Imran. Out there for him. Loser
Nawaz a Slum Cricketer not even a Club Cricketer..
@Javad: I dont want to vote PMLQ with new name PTI, simple as that! any 'new' 'good' fellas ? More than welcome!
Mian sahib one questions from u on two points. point1: sindh has always complained that it gets dead bodies from punjab even this time around u want to have a treason case against a sindhi leader in the court. Point2:this democratic govt initiated AGHAZ E HUQOOQ BALUCHISTAN for compensating injustices to baluchs but ur party didnt support it instead u decided not to be part of comitee that went to baluchistan for the way forward. Question to u : NOW WHAT SHOULD WE DO. BELIEVE ON UR WORDS OR BELIEVE ON UR ACTIONS??
Nawaz Sharif is the only leader with the ability and realistic possibility to steer country in a better direction.Imran Khan is very confused. My and my many friends will Vote for PML (N).
Sharif Sb. app bhee kaisi baatain kertay hain, Lahore ko tua pehlay sambhaal laain. Sindh Bohat Bara hai
@Realist.: Or should I say pessimist??!!! Please enlighten me.. what is the best alternative option to PTI?
@Omar: nice try! still it couldn't inspire me to vote PTI.
@Raja Daultani: Even in national assembly seats are not distributed EQUALLY :P that happens only in Senate!
Why talking about provinces? Talk about merits. Come out of this propoganda asap. Fear another Dhaka fall. There should be no discrimination based on sect, province, language etc. I think problem with our country is unfair justice, education and feudal system. People living in most part of Sindh and Balochistan are not treated the same way as we enjoy lives in Karachi and Lahore.
Who is going to help these issues resolve? PTI ( party now crowded by feudels themselves)
we can't say anything .who is right and who is wrong .when there is no blast not killing our politicians come out to play sage Dramas
If PML-N was the real opposition, they would resign from the Provincal Assembly and National Assembly. In reality, PPP and PML-N are an alliance, otherwise if Sharif resigned from both assemblies, the government would fall and new elections would be held!! Lets stop supporting these failed, corrupt parties and vote for change, vote for a better Pakistan, vote PTI!!
Quote:"However, he couldn’t meet Pir Pagara as he was in the ICU ward due to his critical condition and the doctors had barred people from meeting him" So why did u not ring the hospital first and find out if visiotrs were allowed to meet Pir Pagara before going there? It sounds so simple just a phone call or send one of your servants to see if u can meet the man. Unless it was a political stunt to stand outside the Aga Khan Hospita and chat with ppl the whole idea seems a waste of time.
We learnt through the press that currently 43 out of 49 federal secretaries are Punjabis. None from Balochistan. And we have a vocal leader of PML-N in the Opposition.
PML-N extended the Quota System introduced by PPP in Sindh for another twenty years. A slap on the face of urban Sindh.
Entire southern Punjab is wailing and sobbing due to economic disparity compared to northern Punjab but no job quota has been offered to the poor Punjabis.
Karachi is ten percent of the population of Pakistan. Karachi has a rightful claim to ten percent of government jobs. Ten percent of the federal secretaries should be from Karachi.
PML-N must tell the whole truth. Half truth is bad politics.
Sure Mr. Sharif, please practice the same while you are in any other provinces of Pakistan for better Pakistan
Why is that even a news/headline?
He could have told "THAT TRUTH" from Jeddah. What is need to come in Sindh and then tell the TRUTH. We can listen him clearly.
Seeking Commments. Why any other politician doesn’t open his Arm for Balochis as Mian Nawaz Sherif did....
Mian saab do'nt over-react and feel stranger when u r in sindh. any area within our map is your country. similarly let mqm flourish in punjab .. let bilawal contest from lahore and so on.
It was very interesting for me to read that blog. Thanks the author for it. I like such topics and everything that is connected to them. I would like to read more soon.
Sharif says he’s in Sindh to tell people ‘the truth’ ...so he is accepting that he has been lying all these years???
Finally the truth !!! One truth that has been established is that politicians out of office claim to tell the truth and when in office tend to forget what they had said earlier.
