Busted for stealing signal device

KARACHI:

The Darakhshan police have arrested a four-member gang involved in stealing traffic signal device boxes, recovering the stolen equipment.

SHO Darakhshan, Rashid Ali said that police received a report about the theft of a valuable traffic signal device box near the Khayaban-e-Shamsheer–Saba intersection in Defence. Following the incident, police collected CCTV footage from the scene and surrounding areas, which helped identify the suspects. Acting on intelligence and technical monitoring, police arrested four suspects identified as Farhan, Shan, Sadar Ali, and Sanaullah.

During interrogation, the suspects confessed to stealing the traffic signal device box from a pole on Khayaban-e-Shamsheer and selling it with the help of another accomplice named Mandri, who is at large.
