KARACHI: The Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh chapter President Shahi Syed said his party will strongly oppose any undemocratic move to change the political setup in the country, Express 24/7 reported on Monday.

He was speaking to reporters at the Mardan House in Karachi.

Syed said that the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) has not learnt any lesson from the history and they are bent upon to destabilize the democratic system.

Criticizing PML-N's demand for President Zardari to resign from the office, Syed said that the ANP strongly condemns such demands.

Following the PML-N’s successful rally in Lahore, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the “Go Zardari Go” campaign has been launched across Pakistan and that district and divisional level committees are being set up for it.

Syed asserted that Pakistan’s dignity and stability is linked to democracy.
