Dengue Campaign: Sri Lankan team visits EPD

Sri Lankan experts said the government needed to utilise all resources at its disposal.

A delegation of Sri Lankan medical experts visiting the city met officials of the Environment Protection Department (EPD) and briefed them on dengue fever prevention measures on Saturday. 


Sri Lankan experts said the government needed to utilise all resources at its disposal and work towards developing a coordinating mechanism among its various departments for its fight against dengue virus to be effective. They said the government needed cooperation of the private sector.

EPD Secretary Sajjad Saleem Hotiana said dozens of factories, used tyre godowns and other warehouses had been fumigated over the last two months.
