Anne Hathaway has revealed that no one on the set of The Odyssey was an expert during production, explaining that Christopher Nolan's ambitious filmmaking approach meant the entire cast and crew were learning together.

Speaking about the experience, Hathaway praised the professionalism on set, recalling how filming began almost immediately each morning.

"It's really pro," she said. "During our sequence, which is the interior of the Ithacan Palace, for a month you had hundreds of people standing on their marks, ready to go at 7 a.m. every single day. You could hear a pin drop. Everybody was focused, and usually by 7:05 we were filming."

Hathaway credited Nolan's disciplined approach for keeping production running smoothly, describing the director as "consistent" and "regimented."

However, she noted that The Odyssey presented a unique challenge because it became the first feature film to be shot entirely on IMAX cameras.

"Nobody was an expert on this one, because it was the first time a film had ever been shot entirely on IMAX," Hathaway said. "That meant there were no veterans on set. Everybody was starting at square one."

According to the actress, the shared learning experience created an even stronger sense of teamwork among everyone involved in the production.

"We really had to be there for each other in a way that went even deeper than a usual film," she added.

The Odyssey marks Nolan's adaptation of Homer's epic poem and features an ensemble cast including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Charlize Theron and Hathaway.
