US celebrity socialite Paris Hilton declared her love for India soon after she arrived in Mumbai on Saturday on her first visit to the country where she will launch an exclusive handbag range.
Dressed in a blue pantsuit, wide belt and huge sunglasses, the 30-year-old hotel chain heiress was mobbed by fans and photographers at Mumbai’s international airport before leaving for an upmarket hotel.
Hilton, who is in India to launch the fall and winter designs of her handbags and accessories, met many Bollywood actors at a party hosted in her honour on Saturday in Mumbai, India’s entertainment hub.
The trip seems to have gone well for Hilton, who claims to have received two Bollywood offers and says she is open to working in the Hindi film industry — provided she gets suitable scripts. “I have been approached to do two Bollywood films. But I am not keen on them. However, if a good script comes up, I am willing to do it. Bollywood films are beautiful, I love the clothes in them,” said the blonde beauty.
Hilton, who unveiled the collection at a media gathering, said she does not want to miss taking back “good memories” along with “Indian saris, bindis and jewellery”. A yoga enthusiast, Hilton sported a sari for the cover shoot of an Indian fashion magazine recently, and says she adored the traditional outfit and wants to wear it ‘back home’ as well.

I wonder. At least these statements makes the business of many 'Channels' of businessman routes! They must be thanking her.
Well, yes. Indian culture is beautiful and glorious. I do like their jewelry and closets of designer dresses.

"Declared her 'LOVER' for" LOL :o) note to editor ...it should say "Declared her *'LOVE'* for" correct your english
Then that is very good money. India is indeed shining if they are spending so much money on such trivial matters...
@paris ka driver: haa haa haa !!
@TightChuddi: I can confirm it is more than what China gave to Pakistan for floods and Police reforms
@TightChuddi:
you would be quite unfamilar with that kind of money!
So a skateboard visits India to sell hand bags that no one it the US would ever buy ( made in China, btw!)
Now now, this is a perfect example of throwaway statements that celebrities like to hurl around. Frankly, my dear, nobody cares!
I admire Paris. She has zero skills. All she has is good looks and a famous last-name (which she got from her famous great-grandfather-Conrad). And all she ever did in life was party. She is famous for being famous. And she has used her notoriety to make money. I am sure some clever businessman in India and Paris must have colluded so that Paris said all the right things and sell hand-bags and perfumes and shoes to the status conscious rich in India who want a piece of Hollywood. You may like her, hate her or don’t care about her but you gotta admire Paris for her business acumen.
wonder how much indians paid her to tweet this?
no thanks m'aam. you can keep your love to yourself
