Charlie Cox highlights unexpected challenge while filming Born Again season 3 action scene
Charlie Cox reveals unique challenge of filming action scenes without Daredevil suit

Charlie Cox has revealed just how difficult filming action sequences can be for Daredevil: Born Again, especially when he’s not in full costume.
Speaking in a clip shared by Daredevil Shots, the actor described a recent scene he filmed for season 3 where he wasn’t wearing Matt Murdock’s signature glasses or suit, making the performance even more demanding.
“It’s really hard as an action sequence,” Cox said, explaining that the scene required him to fight while staying true to his character’s blindness. Without the usual visual cues, he had to rely on peripheral awareness and muscle memory to execute kicks, punches, and evasive moves convincingly.

"I did a sequence for season 3 where I don't have the glasses on, I'm not in the suit. [...] And that's challenging cause I've gotta throw kicks and punch [...] but also not be looking at them." pic.twitter.com/HPD0BwJsfs
The added challenge, he noted, was not reacting visually to incoming hits while still maintaining the intensity of the moment, something that requires both physical precision and strong character immersion.
Cox’s comments offer a glimpse into the level of detail and discipline involved in portraying Matt Murdock, highlighting how even subtle elements like eye focus can significantly impact the realism of a scene.
