Paris Jackson slams Michael Jackson estate over legal fees
Paris Jackson hits back at Michael Jackson’s estate, calling their anti-SLAPP motion a waste of time and money

Paris Jackson is pushing back against the Michael Jackson estate in an ongoing legal battle, claiming their recent motions were “a waste of resources” designed to make her case expensive and time-consuming.
The opposition brief, filed on February 26, 2026, responds to the estate’s anti-SLAPP motion, which was originally filed in November 2025. That motion aimed to block Paris’ petition to modify the way executors seek legal fees from the estate. Although the court granted the estate’s motion, Paris’ lawyers argue it caused unnecessary delays and had no real impact on her petition.
In January, the estate’s executors requested over $115,000 in fees related to the anti-SLAPP motion. Paris’ opposition brief contends the motion was purely procedural and did not dismiss any of her claims. Her attorneys argue the estate even admitted the motion’s minimal effect, which was easily countered by a nearly identical filing under a different name.
The brief alleges the executors allowed law firms who received improper payments to attack Paris, costing an additional $115,355.52 in fees, and describes the lawsuit as self-interested and wasteful. Paris’ legal team maintains the estate had a duty to avoid such expenses but chose not to.
Paris, who previously received around $65 million in benefits from her father’s estate, has been challenging the executors over transparency and control, particularly concerning bonus and premium payouts in 2018. Her latest filing continues that effort, highlighting what her team sees as a pattern of unnecessary legal actions by the estate.
The estate has not publicly responded to Paris’ latest filing. The legal dispute underscores the tensions surrounding the management of the late pop star’s assets, as Paris continues to push for oversight and accountability in court.
