Brazilian social media influencer Bianca Dias has died at the age of 27 following complications linked to recent plastic surgery.

Dias reportedly suffered a pulmonary embolism while recovering at her family’s home near São Paulo. According to reports, she experienced shortness of breath before being rushed to hospital, where doctors were unable to save her.

Friend Giovanna Borges confirmed the news on Instagram, stating that Dias had undergone surgery and later developed a pulmonary clot and suffered two seizures during recovery.

“Bia had surgery, and in recovery at home, she had a pulmonary clot, had two seizures, and when she arrived at the hospital, she was no longer alive,” Borges wrote.

Dias’ death comes just 18 days after her initial procedure, though the specific type of cosmetic surgery has not been publicly disclosed.

The influencer had built a following of nearly 60,000 on Instagram, where she shared lifestyle and modelling content. Her final post, shared in December, featured a selfie taken inside a car in São Paulo.

Tributes have poured in from friends and followers. Massage therapist Jeff Carlos remembered her by writing, “Death is nothing at all. Our bond has not been broken.” Fellow content creator Patrícia Ganden also shared a message of condolence, expressing pride in their friendship.

Local authorities have reportedly launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
