Demi Burnett criticizes Colton Underwood casting on The Traitors
Bachelor alum Demi Burnett calls Colton Underwood reality TV return disturbing, citing past stalking allegations

Bachelor alum Demi Burnett has publicly criticized Colton Underwood’s appearance on season four of The Traitors, saying that seeing him on the reality competition series makes her feel “sick"
Burnett, who appeared as a contestant on Underwood’s season of The Bachelor in 2019, shared her concerns in a TikTok posted on Jan. 12. In the video, she argued that Underwood should not have been cast on the Peacock series, accusing the show of giving him a favorable “good guy” edit that she believes ignores serious allegations from his past.
Burnett referenced allegations made by Underwood’s former girlfriend, Cassie Randolph. The pair met during filming of The Bachelor in 2018 and ended their relationship in 2020. Later that year, Randolph filed for a restraining order, alleging that Underwood had stalked and harassed her, including claims that he placed a tracking device on her car, loitered outside her family’s home, and sent threatening messages while posing as an anonymous stalker. The restraining order was dropped in November 2020 after the two reached a private agreement.
In her video, Burnett shared screenshots of news coverage related to the allegations and said she was disturbed that Underwood has continued to receive television opportunities. She rejected the idea that his actions could be dismissed as a mistake, describing them as calculated and premeditated.
Burnett also claimed that Underwood’s public decision to come out as gay in April 2021 shifted public attention away from the allegations. Underwood came out during a Good Morning America interview with Robin Roberts, where he apologized to Randolph for the pain and emotional distress he caused and acknowledged making poor choices.
Since then, Underwood has appeared in multiple television projects, including his Netflix series Coming Out Colton, as well as The Masked Singer, Beyond the Edge, and now The Traitors. Burnett contrasted this with Randolph’s lack of similar public opportunities, questioning why Underwood continues to be cast despite the past accusations.
Randolph has since married musician Brighton Reinhardt in December 2025. Underwood married Jordan C. Brown in May 2023, and the couple welcomed their first child in September 2024.
