Kyle Cooke defends Amanda Batula as she faces online backlash after her romance with West Wilson goes public

Kyle Cooke is speaking out in defense of his estranged wife, Amanda Batula, following the confirmation of her romance with their “Summer House” co-star West Wilson.

In a TikTok video posted April 1, the Loverboy founder revealed he’s less concerned about himself and more worried about Amanda amid the intense backlash she’s facing online. “I’m good, I’m actually really worried about Amanda, if I’m being honest,” Kyle told journalist Adam Glyn. “I understand people have all sorts of opinions, but from what I’m seeing she’s kind of getting cyber bullied.”

Kyle shared that Amanda gave him a heads up before their joint statement was released and that he’s been in touch with her since. While expressing concern for his estranged wife, he was less sympathetic toward West.

“All I know is West seems to be the kind of guy playing multiple women at the same time,” Kyle said. “And somehow, in all of this, like 50,000 people have decided that West deserves their follow. Meanwhile, they’re just lighting up Amanda.”

The romance confirmation came March 31 after weeks of speculation. Amanda and West released a joint statement acknowledging their “very new” relationship, explaining they needed “space to process things privately” given the “complicated relationship dynamics.”

The situation has divided the “Summer House” cast, with many rallying behind Ciara Miller—West’s ex and Amanda’s former close friend. Ciara was photographed looking distraught in New York City the same day the statement was released. Meanwhile, co-stars Lindsay Hubbard and Paige DeSorbo have shown public support for Ciara.

Kyle admitted the situation has made him “second guess a lot of things last summer” regarding how “checked out” Amanda was during their faltering marriage. He also revealed West sent what he called “some half-assed text message” amid the fallout.
