Disney Branded Television has officially greenlit a third Phineas and Ferb movie, which will debut on Disney+ and the linear Disney Channel.

Production is set to begin later this year, with a story centered on a time-warp adventure where the brothers’ existence is threatened.

The film’s logline reveals that Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s latest time-travel experiment erases the moment Phineas’ mom meets Ferb’s dad, meaning the boys never become brothers. As reality unravels, Phineas and Ferb must restore the timeline before it’s too late.

Series co-creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh return as writers and executive producers, alongside writers Kate Kondell and Jeff Howard, director Bob Bowen, and producer Brandi Young. The original voice cast will reprise their roles, including Vincent Martella as Phineas, David Errigo Jr. as Ferb, Ashley Tisdale as Candace, Caroline Rhea as Linda, Alyson Stoner as Isabella, and Dee Bradley Baker as Perry the Platypus. Povenmire voices Dr. Doofenshmirtz, while Marsh returns as Major Francis Monogram.

Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, said the movie will expand the imaginative and humorous world of Phineas and Ferb, giving the creators a chance to explore bold, sentimental storytelling while maintaining the series’ trademark humor.

The new movie follows the show’s revival, which included a 40-episode pickup in 2023 and recent streaming success on Disney+, with episodes drawing nearly 600 million minutes viewed. Disney also launched a new series of eight shorts titled Agent P Under C., debuting on Disney+ and Disney Channel, featuring Perry the Platypus on an undercover mission.

Phineas and Ferb remains one of Disney Television Animation’s most successful franchises, winning five Emmys and spawning films, merchandise, live shows, and global streaming content. The third movie continues the legacy of the Emmy-winning series and its beloved characters.
