Following the ceremony at the Beverly Hilton, Gomez shared a Powerpuff Girls fan edit that compared the three pop stars to the animated trio, capturing the attention of fans online.

The image paired cartoon stills with photographs of Gomez, Cyrus and Grande dressed for awards season and was captioned, “So proud of my ladies I grew up with!”

The timing of the tribute coincided with a notable reunion inside the ceremony itself. Nearly two decades after becoming household names on Disney Channel, Gomez and Cyrus were photographed together at the 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards on January 11, 2026. Cyrus wore a black sequined Saint Laurent outfit, while Gomez appeared in a black Chanel gown with white feather detailing. 

All three attended the event as nominees, highlighting the longevity of their careers. Cyrus received a nomination for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture for “Dream as One” from Avatar: Fire and Ash, while Gomez was nominated for Best Female Actor in a Musical or Comedy TV Series for Only Murders in the Building. Meanwhile, Grande was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Wicked: For Good.
