Heated Rivalry star Robbie G.K. is opening up about the series’ growing cultural impact, what it could mean for professional hockey, and his hopes for the show’s future as it continues to resonate with audiences.

Asked whether the series might inspire real-world change within the NHL, Robbie said, “I certainly hope so.” He pointed to shifts seen in other major sports leagues, adding, “I think that big organisations like that, sports organisations, we’ve seen things in the past, specifically in the NFL, where there’s been these types of movements or things that are trying to create change.”

He emphasised that he hopes the league goes beyond surface-level engagement, saying, “I hope as much as [the NHL is] using this as leverage … they’re also taking internal notes and changing the atmosphere in change rooms and from an organisational standpoint.”

The actor revealed that multiple NHL teams have reached out to him directly since the show’s release. “The Vancouver Canucks reached out to me, which me and my roommates were losing our minds because we were talking about trying to get tickets,” he shared. “I think the New Jersey Devils reached out to me. It’s just insane, but I’m super stoked.”

Robbie also discussed the possibility of Heated Rivalry Season 2 and the future of his character, Kip. While details remain under wraps, he noted that author Rachel Reid has expressed interest in expanding Kip and Scott’s storyline. “I’m just sitting around. My fingers are crossed but I appreciate having Rachel in my corner because that’s exciting. I would love to be on it more,” he said.

Music also came up during the conversation, with Robbie reacting enthusiastically to the idea that Miley Cyrus could be involved in a future soundtrack.

“I was absolutely a ‘Hannah Montana’ fan. That’s what I grew up on. That’s the reason I got into acting and musical theater in the first place,” he said, adding with a laugh, “I hope at some point to meet you in person, Miley.”
