'Love Island USA' winner Amaya Espinal hospitalised for emergency surgery during filming
Espinal is reportedly in stable condition and remains under medical observation following the procedure

Love Island USA winner Amaya Espinal has been rushed to hospital and undergone emergency surgery after experiencing “severe abdominal pain” while in Los Angeles, according to reports.
TMZ first reported that the reality television star was taken to the emergency room earlier this week and is currently recovering in a Los Angeles hospital. Sources told the outlet that Espinal is in stable condition and remains under medical observation following the procedure. The exact cause of her sudden symptoms has not been disclosed.
Espinal was reportedly in Los Angeles for the past couple of weeks filming season two of the Love Island spin-off series Beyond the Villa. Insiders said she was not on set at the time the medical incident occurred. The show follows former contestants as they navigate life after the villa and is produced for Peacock.
The New York native rose to prominence earlier this year after winning the seventh season of Love Island USA alongside Bryan Arenales. The pair captured viewers’ attention with their chemistry and were crowned winners in the season finale, securing a $100,000 prize, which they split.
Despite their on-screen success, Espinal and Arenales ended their relationship shortly after filming concluded in August.
Espinal has not yet commented publicly on her hospitalisation or recovery. Fans have since shared messages of support online as she continues to recuperate following the emergency surgery.
