Connor Storrie, Lilly Krug film 'April X' secures US and international release
April X is expected to reach cinemas later in 2026, with exact release dates to be announced

Connor Storrie and Lilly Krug’s upcoming psychological sci-fi thriller April X has secured both US theatrical release and international distribution, according to Deadline.
The film, described as a near-future thriller, follows twin siblings Bax and April. When April goes missing, Bax searches through a dark, post-Soviet cityscape to find her, a journey that gradually pushes him toward psychological breakdown.
The project is being positioned as a high-concept genre film blending sci-fi world-building with psychological tension, with Storrie and Krug leading the cast.
Sunrise Films and Rialto Distribution have acquired North American rights and plan a theatrical release across more than 500 theaters in the United States and Canada in late September 2026. The film will also roll out across multiple international territories through separate distribution deals.
International distribution has already been secured in regions including the UK and Ireland, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Eastern Europe, French-speaking territories, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, and India and SAARC regions.
Directed by Michel K. Parandi, the film marks a major global release for both lead actors, with industry reports highlighting strong distributor confidence in its commercial and international appeal.
April X is expected to reach cinemas later in 2026, with exact release dates to be announced.
